I've had residual pain and fluctuating fluid levels ever since my open heart surgery more than two years ago. We learned that the Doctor who caused the surgery was dismissed from the clinic for causing two more people to have open heart surgeries. I think he was too old to being doing those surgeries, and I'm thinking of getting a medical malpractice attorney.

I am thinking about talking to a medical malpractice attorney. I had a the pacemaker implanted 15 years ago and all was well. I had a battery replaced without complications. I then needed the leads to be replaced. When the cardiologist removed my leads, he tore my tricuspid valve loose. I had to have open heart surgery. I now have residual pain in my side. I go to physical therapy two times a week and have for the last year and one half. Do I have a case?I have never sued anyone for anything, however I am considering suing for this. In addition to the pain and suffering, I had to pay all of the co-pays for this bungled medical fiasco. Do I have a case I wonder? If I don't, what in the world would it take to have one?

My mother was in the hospital and had surgery. She had to have a feeding tube while she recovered. The hospital was giving her medication (insulin) for diabetes, however they decided to give her non-diabetic food. She lapsed into a diabetic coma and died. Do I have a case?

Don't medical malpractice lawyers hire medical spe [beep] ts to see if the case is worth pursuing? I think they do, they want to make sure that the case is a good one as they will be spending time and money researching all the particulars of the case. Medical accidents do happen, but there are times when a doctor or nurse just drops the ball.

They will typically take a case for a percentage of what they get, which can be pretty steep, but without them the insurance companies will try to pay you little to nothing for all your pain and suffering and time off work.
